People Pots

Jo Caddy’s ceramics are varied, taking forms ranging from crockery to large sculptural pieces, but often incorporate anthropomorphic features. Today, Caddy is probably best known for her “people pots”, each of which conveys its own personality, ranging from whimsy to sorrow. These pots were popular and regularly featured by decorators and lifestyle magazines.
